Economic Development

With quick access to major highways, combined with a highly skilled workforce, Dauphin County is an environment favorable to business and industry. Dauphin County takes an aggressive approach to expanding the local economy. The Commissioners are committed to creating a business environment that brings new business, retains current employers and offers new jobs for the County. With such vision, it is the intent of the County Commissioners, in partnership the county's Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), to position Dauphin County for extraordinary success in the 21st century.

Dauphin County DCED provides substantial support and guidance for the many businesses that call Dauphin County home, as well as those looking to relocate to the area. By bringing together various state, county, and local elected officials and other economic development professionals, the

DCED is able to assist companies in identifying appropriate sites and/or financing sources. For more information, please visit the page for the Small Business Loan Program or contact our office directly at (717) 780-6250.
