Four People Dead in Friday Morning Fire in Steelton; Investigation is Ongoing

Four people died in a fire Friday morning in Steelton Borough.

Numerous agencies are investigating the fire at 441 S. Front St., which was initially called into the 911 center just after 6 a.m.

Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick said two adult males and two children died in the fire. Names are not being released pending notification of relatives.

The Coroner’s Office continues to investigate cause and manner of death.

Steelton Borough police, a Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal, District Attorney Fran Chardo’s Office, Dauphin County’s fire investigation team – a team of special county detectives – and the region’s firefighters are among the investigating agencies.

There were no other injuries reported.

The decedents were pronounced dead at the scene.

Additional information will be released as the investigations progress.
