Three Participants Set to Graduate from Dauphin County Drug Court on May 24; Watch it Virtually

Drug Court Generic SMALL CROP

Three individuals set to graduate from Dauphin County Drug Court will put the total number of program graduates to 127 since launch of the intense rehabilitation program.

The 29th graduation ceremony is set for Tuesday, May 24 at 10 a.m. in Courtroom 1 on the fifth floor of Dauphin County Courthouse, 101 Market St., Harrisburg.

Anyone interested can attend in person or watch virtually (link information is below).

The Drug Court program is designed to offer individuals who have contact with the criminal justice system and have drug and/or alcohol use disorders the opportunity for treatment, combined with intensive community supervision, in lieu of incarceration. This process assists individuals in returning to a healthy, law-abiding lifestyle.

Keynote speaker will be Jennifer Storm, author and former Victim Advocate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (from 2013-2021) and, currently, Director of Equity & Title IX at Muhlenberg College.

Dauphin County Judge Edward M. Marsico, Jr., Presiding Judge of the Drug Court program, will open and close the ceremony.

Each graduate will deliver a speech about their experience in Drug Court. Judge Marsico  will also address the graduates.

Since the program began in 2008, the program has graduated a total of 124 participants – not including the upcoming three graduates.
