Biography

Rebecca Margerum is a native resident of Elizabethville, and a 1984 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School. In 1988, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Pennsylvania State University. From 1989 through 1992, she was a caseworker for Northumberland County Children and Youth Services. In 1992, she enrolled in law school at Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire. After graduation from law school in 1995, she became an assistant Dauphin County public defender. Thereafter, she practiced law in the private sector from 1998 until taking office as Magisterial District Judge in January, 2000. She is a member of the Upper Dauphin Area Rotary Club, Salem Lutheran Church, American Business Women's Association and board member of the Northern Dauphin County YMCA.

Turn left onto Manors Road (sign left for Washington Twp. Municipal Bldg. and District Court 12-3-01). Office is located in the Township Bldg. on left.

From Northumberland County: Take 147 South to 225 South; stay on 225 South into Elizabethville; at traffic light, take left onto 209 North. Travel approx. 2.5 miles; turn right onto Manors Road (sign on right for Washington Twp. Municipal Bldg. and District Court 12-3-01). Office is located in the Township Bldg. on left.
