How do I find your job postings?
Postings of current full-time and part-time job openings throughout the County are available by clicking on the Government Services tab and selecting Human Resources. For a detailed description of the position, click on the job title.
How do I apply for Dauphin County positions?
Employment applications are available on-line on the employment page. Applicants must submit a separate application for each position applied for. The position title and the corresponding position requisition number must be included.
Can I apply for a position that is not posted?
No. Employment applications will only be accepted for positions that are posted.
If I have an application on file, must I complete another application if I am interested in applying again?
How do I know if the position I am applying for is a union position?

Do I have to join the union?
No, employees are not required to join a union. Instead they can elect to pay a fair share fee, which represents a fair share of the costs of the services provided by the union.
