How do I appeal a License Suspension?
Individuals have 30 days from the date of the letter from PennDot to appeal. You may obtain the Forms & Instruction at the Dauphin County Law Library on the 4th Floor of the Dauphin County Courthouse for a fee. What do I need to renew my notary?
When you receive your bond, visit the Recorder of Deeds Office to file your bond. When that is completed, you are to come to the Office of the Prothonotary to record your signature. Payment is made by Cash, Money Order, and Or Business Check only. (See Prothonotary’s Fee Schedule for Filing Fee)
How do I file for a Divorce or Annulment?
Annulments are treated the same as Divorce. We do not recommend that you use forms that you take from the Web or purchase at a book store because this paperwork may not apply to what is required in Dauphin County. Consult Legal counsel. If you decide that you want to do the filing yourself, you may obtain the Forms & Instruction at the Dauphin County Law Library on the 4th Floor of the Dauphin County Courthouse for a fee. How do I obtain a certified copy of my Divorce Decree?
For a Certified copy of your divorce decree, you can do this by personally coming in to the Office of the Prothonotary or by mail. If you choose to do this by mail, please include as much information as you can in your cover letter: docket number/plaintiff’s name/defendant’s name/phone number where you can be reached, etc. Include a SASE and a Money Order. Do I obtain a marriage license in your office?
No, you must contact the Register of Willis if you have been divorced, you must have a certified copy of your divorce decree, which can be obtained in the County where you were divorced.
How do I appeal a Magisterial District Justice Judgment?
Defendants can appeal a Magisterial District Justice Judgment within 30 days from the date of the Judgment. Appeal forms can be found in Office of the Prothonotary you will need to bring in a copy of your “Notice of Judgment/Transcript” form. Once the appeal form is completed, you have 10 days to do service. Payment for transaction is made by Cash, Money Order and/or Business Check only. (See Prothonotary’s Fee Schedule for Filing Fee)
How do I enter a Magisterial District Justice Judgment?
After 30 days from the day of your Judgment, come to our office with the following: the original judgment, twice signed by the Magisterial District Justice and Sealed, Cash, Money Order and/or Business Check only in the proper amount. (See Prothonotary’s Fee Schedule for Filing Fee) However, within the 30 days the defendant can file an appeal. If this was done, you cannot file a Judgment.
How do I file a Custody Complaint?
