Conservation-District

The Dauphin County Conservation District is hosting a Field Day on July 20, when people can learn about improvements and funding opportunities for their property.

The Conservation District would like to share with you the opportunity to see some conservation practices on the ground and working in a live setting.

The full-day Field Day is July 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2066 Colebrook Road in Middletown. Lunch will be provided, along with folders containing all discussed information.

The event is free, but registration is required, by July 18.

The farm tour will explore impacts of agricultural nutrients on a local stream as well as the benefits of buffers and stream restoration practices.

To register, contact the Dauphin County Conservation District at MWeidner@dauphincounty.gov.

More information on CREP, Ag Land Preserve, manure management planning (including an overview of Manure Management guidelines for Pennsylvania farmers generating or using manure), can be found on the Dauphin County Conservation District website at www.dauphincd.org.
